Getting developments through the town planning process can be a gruelling affair. Creating visualizations for development approval (DA) or the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is quite different from creating visualizations for marketing. It's not about making the prettiest image; it's about showing that the building or development is appropriate for the site. We are very aware of this when we create a photomontage.
As a developer, the last thing you want is for someone to question the validity of the visualization. That could bring down your whole case. So we use a rigorous process for accurately matching the photo and 3D model, and we document the process we use in such a way that the methodology is transparent. This allows anyone to understand how we have done the photomontage and how accurate it is.
