In the 18 th century an eccentric Earl sponsored a famous Watchmaker to create a physical model of our solar system. This is known as an Orrery and is the logo SLAM's director, Mike Leslie, chose for his now 9-year-old business.

This tells you a lot about us; no we are not astronomers, although there are sometimes stars in our eyes; we are not astrologers although Mike' s master's thesis did foresee the future of 3D visualisation; but yes there is something mystical about us, something dark and mysterious, it's the magic and alchemy of our images.
